UAB Escolit is a young, ambitious, and rapidly growing pharmaceutical company operating in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
Our in-house Quality Control Laboratory provides analytical and microbiological testing services for solid non-sterile dosage forms, including tablets, capsules, and powders, as well as liquid formulations. We provide quality control testing and support batch release, delivering accurate, reliable, and timely results.

Laboratory Facilities
Our laboratory covers approximately 600 m² and has been designed to ensure an efficient and logical workflow. It is divided into two main areas:
- Chemical Laboratory
- Microbiological Laboratory
Both areas are supplied with purified water and equipped with modern laboratory instrumentation.
The Chemical Laboratory includes dedicated areas for sample preparation and raw material testing, chromatography, spectroscopy and spectrophotometry, as well as pharmaceutical testing.
The Microbiological Laboratory consists of controlled clean areas and uncontrolled areas. The controlled area includes separate rooms equipped with Laminar Air Flow (LAF) units for microbiological testing using different methods, including membrane filtration and direct inoculation. A dedicated room equipped with a Biosafety Cabinet is available for handling microorganisms.
The microbiological facilities are also equipped for environmental monitoring of air and surfaces.
Chemical Testing
We provide chemical testing of finished pharmaceutical products and issue Certificates of Analysis (CoA) for a wide range of non-sterile dosage forms, including:
- Tablets
- Capsules
- Powders
- Liquid formulations
Our Quality Control team also provides the following services:
- Analytical Method Transfer (AMT)
- Testing of commercial batches and support for batch release
- Investigation and management of Out-of-Specification (OOS) results
- Support for change controls and analytical method variations

Microbiological Testing
Our laboratory provides microbiological testing of non-sterile pharmaceutical dosage forms.
The Microbiological Laboratory includes a dedicated controlled clean area designed and operated according to cleanroom principles, with a dedicated changing room and controlled air-handling system.
Separate rooms equipped with Laminar Air Flow (LAF) units are used for microbiological testing using methods such as membrane filtration and direct inoculation. A dedicated Biosafety Cabinet is available for handling microorganisms.
The laboratory is equipped with air samplers and other equipment required for environmental monitoring of air and surfaces. Our facilities also include autoclaves and controlled incubators.
Microbiological Services

- Suitability testing and validation of microbiological test methods
- Microbial limits testing, including:
- Total Aerobic Microbial Count (TAMC)
- Total Yeast and Mould Count (TYMC)
- Testing for specified microorganisms
- Growth promotion testing of culture media

- Automated laboratory glassware washing and drying systems
